A trim changes the length. If you want to round a corner or tidy up an uneven edge, that’s when you reach for a file. On this device, each step has its own part.

Trim to set the length.
The trimming slot is the opening you saw in the close-up. It’s the part used to shorten the nail.
Step 2
Smooth the edge.
The separate polishing head is used after trimming to refine the shape at the tip.

04 The built-in light
